How to Request Data Deletion
Under GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. To submit a data deletion request, please email us with the required information below.
Include in Your Request:
- Your full name as registered on Bridleway
- Email address associated with your account
- Subject line: “Data Deletion Request”
- Brief statement requesting deletion of your data
Note: For security purposes, you must send your request from the email address associated with your Bridleway account. We may contact you to verify your identity before processing your request.
Processing Timeline
7-30 Business Days
We will process your request within 7-30 business days from receipt of a verified request. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
- Day 1-3: Request received and identity verification
- Day 4-14: Data collection and review
- Day 15-30: Deletion processing and confirmation
What Gets Deleted
Upon approval of your request, we will permanently delete:
- Account information (name, email, password, profile data)
- Horse listings you have created (including photos and descriptions)
- Saved searches and favorites
- Messages and communication history
- Preferences and settings
- Session and login history
What We Must Retain
Certain data must be retained for legal, tax, or regulatory compliance:
- Transaction Records
Payment and transaction history retained for 7 years (IRS requirements for 1099 reporting)
- Legal Communications
Records related to disputes, claims, or legal proceedings
- Anonymized Analytics
Aggregated, non-identifiable data used for service improvement
- Fraud Prevention Data
Information necessary to prevent fraud or enforce our terms of service
Retained data is securely stored with restricted access and will be deleted when no longer required by law.
