Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we process your personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so. These bases map to the purposes listed above:

  • Performance of a contract— to create and operate your account, publish your listings, process transactions, and provide the marketplace services you request.
  • Legitimate interests— to keep the platform secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and understand and improve how the Service is used, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent— for non-essential analytics cookies and for optional marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already took place.
  • Legal obligation— to meet tax, accounting, identity verification (including the INFORM Consumers Act, below), and other legal requirements.

High-Volume Seller Verification (INFORM Consumers Act)

To comply with the federal INFORM Consumers Act, if you become a high-volume third-party seller on Bridleway — generally a seller who reaches 200 or more transactions and at least $5,000 in gross revenue through the platform during a continuous 12-month period — we collect and verify additional identifying information about you. This may include your bank account information, contact information, and a government-issued tax identification number (or equivalent).

As the Act requires, certain verified seller contact information may be disclosed to buyers in connection with your listings and transactions.

If you have a concern about a seller or listing, you can report it directly from any listing using the “Report This Listing” control; our team reviews every report.
