Thunder

Western Pleasure · Trail Riding · Halter · Companion

Thunder is a beautiful, black and white Paint gelding who originally belonged to my dad. He is 16 years old, stands 15.2 hands, and has a very calm, sweet personality. He was a dependable Western trail horse for years before being given some time off. Because he hasn’t been ridden recently, he is being sold as a project horse who needs a light tune-up to get back into riding shape. The Good: • Great with Kids & Dogs: Very docile, calm demeanor, and completely unfazed by dogs or children. • Excellent Ground Manners: Incredibly good on lead ropes, stands beautifully while tied up, and is very easy to handle and catch. • Submissive & Non-Aggressive: He is very low on the totem pole with other horses. If another horse gets aggressive with him, he will simply run away rather than engage or fight back, making him easy to turn out with a herd. • Trail Experience: He has a solid foundation as a seasoned, steady outdoor trail mount. The Details: Because he has been living as a pasture horse for the last few years, he will need a patient handler to bring him back into a regular riding routine. It has been several years since he was last loaded onto a trailer, but he historically had no trouble loading and should do great with a treat and some patience. He is currently overdue for a farrier visit and will need a hoof trim, but he is healthy and pasture sound. My top priority is finding Thunder a wonderful, loving home. Please call or text for more details or to come meet him in person.
